A true Kartell icon, the Bubble Club sofa, made of polyethylene dyed in paste, has been the pioneer of a new concept of furnishing accessory: the industrial sofa completely made of plastic material. Technology and research have in fact allowed Kartell to mass produce an object that has been made by hand from the beginning. Bubble Club is a large two-seater sofa, characterized by a soft line on the armrests in contrast to the more rational line of the backrest; an essential silhouette that recalls the lines of "grandma's sofa". Together with the armchair and the table made with the same finishes and colors, Bubble Club already constitutes an authentic family, an "industrial lounge". Thanks to its exceptional resistance to atmospheric agents, the three components of the Bubble line live perfectly in outdoor spaces and are ideal for furnishing a garden, the space around a pool or a terrace.

Kartell is famous throughout the world for having invented the culture of furniture and furniture for plastic interiors. Kartell was founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli, a chemical engineer moved by an inspiration: to create objects from plastic, a material of applications little explored until that moment. He then began a fruitful collaboration with the great designer Gino Colombini, winner of the company's first Compasso d'Oro prize in 1955. From the beginning Kartell's goal was to "brighten up the domestic landscape", becoming one of the main promoters of the plastic in the world of decoration and interior design, although in its beginnings they are more related to the manufacture of automobile accessories in 1949. It expanded into home furnishings in 1963.
